Powerful and meaningfully original, Monsieur Blanc offers sophisticated statement pieces infused with a distinct perspective, eyewear informed by a design language that combines a respect for men, craft, and technical innovation, ultimately resulting in 16 pairs of glasses that pay homage to the past while pushing the aesthetic into the future.
In order to create a variety of designs, different materials were chosen for Monsieur Blanc. Some frames are made of Japanese and Italian acetate, some are dived into a 22 carats gold bath, and others more innovative with 3D eyes wires and tailored Japanese beta titanium temples.
Mazzucchelli acetate
A high-quality Italian acetate that Nathalie Blanc uses with 8mm thick sheets, giving depth to the frames and a lot of character. For this type of acetate, each piece of our lenses spends a week in beechwood barrels and is then hand-milled by our craftsmen to give them a puffy appearance and soften the edges of the frame.
Japanese acetate
A range of pure and beautiful colors, as well as great rigidity. This rigidity is the result of a much higher resting time during its manufacturing process, which allows us to create fine frames with softer color gradations.
Metal
Our metal frames are bathed in 22-karat gold. The hinges and center arms are designed by the design team to be as light and comfortable as possible for the wearer.
Beta-titanium temples and 3D face
The custom-made Japanese beta-titanium temples are light and sturdy, yet flexible and adjustable. This gives the frame an incredible level of comfort. Resistant to the highest heat and coldest temperatures, our 3D faces are made from bio-sourced materials, as they are composed of 70% castor oil. Moreover, 100% of the materials are used by the craftsman, which allows us to create no waste. This material allows us to offer the customer a pair of light and hypoallergenic glasses.
